Membership Conditions
Any communications agency that meets the following criteria can be an AKA member:
- does business only in the area of commercial communications
- has at least seven full-time employees
- has at least three separate clients, none of which generates more than half of its turnover
- has shown that it is capable of preparing and realizing a nationwide communications campaign and has successfully operated on the Czech market for a longer period of time (at least 1.5 years)
- provides quality services of European standard and does business decorously, honorably and in a manner that does not endanger or denigrate the Association and its members
- has no financial stake in the media or in the companies of its clients, and vice-versa
- pledges to adhere to the General Principles of Ethical Conduct for AKA Members, the AKA Code of Ethics for Sales Promotion and the Advertising Standards Council’s Code of Advertising Practice (see self-regulation)
