BoB

BoB (Best of Best) is an annually celebrated list of the best individuals working in creative fields based on the success of their work in international and domestic competitions in the last year. The basis of the rating is the list of selected international and domestic competitions, divided into several categories according to importance, and a firmly set system of points gained from awards in these particular contests. Each country can add its most important domestic competitions to the relevant point category, provided it satisfies the standards relating to the jury’s composition and expertise, the way contestants are entered, etc. BoB is thus a competition that encompasses the verdicts of many juries. Awards are given to the most successful personalities in four categories—creative director, copywriter, art director, and creative team (usually a duo). BoB was established in Great Britain on the initiative of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA). It has been held in the Czech Republic since 2003. On the basis of a license granted by the IPA, the Czech AKA holds the competition for member agencies to which it sends the applications with an updated list of competitions and their point values.
