Young Lions is a competition for the best young creative teams in the categories of Print, Media and Cyber. It is for a two-member team, and both must be under the age of 28 in the June of the relevant year.
The competition takes place in April and the winning creative teams qualify for the similar international Young Creatives competition, which is part of the Cannes Lions advertising festival in the second half of June.
Young Lions competition is organized by the AKA in collaboration with FLEmedia, media auditor agency, which is the Cannes festival’s official representative in the Czech Republic. Both the teams’ travel and accommodation expenses as well as the entry fee are covered by the AKA and FLEmedia with the help of sponsoring partners.
As in Cannes, the teams entered have 24 hours to create their competing concepts. They receive a brief in the morning of the designated day and must hand in their proposals at noon the next day.
